Tuesday, February 27, 2007Had a rather interesting morning today.I just came back from visiting 2 temples this morning. The first was the "lian he gong" at tampines where all the different kind of dieties statues were gathered to pray for you all know what. I prayed for everyone too. =) So let's all just hope for the best. Afterward, we headed to this thai temple at simpang bedok. Felt rather queer initially cause we don't really know how to go about praying but i just followed my mum. In the great hall, there were quite a few chairs, after praying we headed for the chairs as we wanted to wait for the monks to finish their lunch to get some of their blessings. HOWEVER, soon, we found out that the chairs were actually for the monks. Super embarassing i tell you so anyways, we decided not to wait anymore. But it felt rather good going to this thai temple cause the people there are thai so when they spoke the language, it felt quite overwhleming. Brought me back to them time when i went to thailand for ocip and when we had some visits to the temple. Made me feel as if i was there again. =) So, we left. Down the hill, my mum called her friends only to realise they decided to come too so we had a drink while waiting. To our surprise they got there faster than expected and since they've been there and asked for blessings before, they sort of know how to go about doing it so i jogged back up the hill to meet them. One of them went into the great hall and immediately approached one of them and said i was really worried for my results and asked if i should worry. At that point of time, my mind was thinking, how would she know if he's the right one? And he didn't really seem to understand so i got a little worried. Then he went on to say "come back tomorrow at around this time". i was dazed. somehow i couldn't understand why, i mean it just felt really odd. i didn't know if i came back tomorrow whether or not i'd be able to find him and just where was i suppose to start. i didn't know his name and i'm afraid i won't recognise him, further more it wasn't my mum that asked, it was her friend. So how am i to go about asking him tomorrow? That's puzzling thing number 1. Following that, we headed to this other place and asked this other monk, he asked me to recite this chant and i don't know, it just felt..hai, i really can't put it into words. and he said something like, don't forget me, i'm going back to bangkok now, you can write. The thing is, write to him about? my mum and her friends said he said that i could write if i was facing any problems, but i don't only want to write about my problems, its just wierd. i don't know, mind boggling. and everyone says i should feel better. i guess i am in a way, now my mind is just revolving around what happened in the temple and trying to undo the daze i've gotten myself into and answering questions that i can't put into words. Anyhow, good luck everyone. i'll continue to pray for everyone when i go to another temple tomorrow. haha. By the way, i'm not going to every temple to pray for good results ok, this post kinda makes me sound desperate. The temple i'm going tomorrow is the "guan yin miao". Got to give thanks for protecting my family and friends the while year. =) take care! Sunday, February 25, 2007HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!Kinda like a late wish but still, here's wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year, wan shi ru yi, may all things you undertake go smoothly, and especailly for the a level peeps, may our results be filled with As!!! =) As the day draw nearer, i can't help but be more and more afraid. =X i think sooner or later its gonna be constant nightmares. i guess that applies to most of us. =X So anyways, my last day of work was today!!! I shall need to send that timesheet soon if i want to get my check, and i DO want it. hahaha... It was kinda sad to leave everyone, i mean its really difficult to find collegues that are all so nice, and i really mean every single one. I really have a lot to thank them for and i've gained much experience working on this assignment. Just really really thankful. =) ok, so now i'm seriously hooked to the "quan" in the ella show. he's damn cute!!! he's really super cute ok. but i'm not crazy or anything, i won't specially queue overnight to see him or something. just find him super charming. alright, at this point of time, if cheryl reads this, she's going to go mad. haha. but sorry, he's just TOO CUTE!! i'm sure u'll agree with me. =) wells, guess i'll end here now. take care and all the best! =) Thursday, February 01, 2007I WANNA STAY AT HOME!!Alright, now i know why everyone wants to stay at home after they start working. standing up to 8 hours a day can really kill ur legs. my knees are aching so badly. ARGH. but i'm glad i have nice collegues. Feel quite guilty bout having turn down those people who make the trip specially to change new notes cos they weren't any more. i gess some of their comments should be taken seriously. Everyone said the old system bout reserving notes was good. i wonder why they removed it. anyhow, cheryl told me some stuff that i've been yearning t hear for a long long timg. i'm really elated. now all i can do is pray. =) And i'm hungry. Where's my daddy!! i want my dinner. =X K then, take care everyone! |
